GETTING CLOSE AND PERSONAL

A couple of weeks ago we went out on the North Shore and some of the locals got up close and personal. There were so many of them in one area that I count 12 of them. We spent about 2.5 hours just hanging with the locals. Loved it. Please remember that these animals are on the endangered list and you should not feed or play with them.

As one of the sponsors for the OC16 Wedding of a Lifetime, we were recently on location at Kakaako Waterfront Park in Honolulu to shoot an engagement session with the winners of the local contest-Kahele and Jayne. Couples from all over the state wrote into the station explaining their love stories and why they should be chosen as the winners. The long list of couples was then narrowed down to a final three who were aired on a live results show where their fate would be decided by the viewing public. Through hardship and challenges one couple emerged as an example of true love and commitment. Kahele and Jayne were chosen by the audience as the most deserving individuals to be awarded an all expense paid “Wedding of a Lifetime.” From the rehearsal dinner to the rings to the reception, all the services and items fit for a grand wedding are generously donated to the couple. Liquidlightimages was chosen to be the photographer for the wedding prize and will be awarding Kahele and Jayne with our top of the line full day wedding package.

Upon arriving at the park, we got a chance to chat with the couple and they shared about the many exciting appointments added to their schedule to make the necessary arrangements for the soon approaching wedding. We began with a few shots in the wonderfully manicured grassy hills and as the afternoon progressed moved towards the water’s edge to capture a fabulous sunset with the beautiful couple. We also got a chance to meet two of their adorable daughters who got to be a part of the shoot and stole the show!

Pregnancy and birth are miraculous journeys. This amazing time of life is full of mystery, anticipation, joy, hope, and wonder. Feeling the powerful energy of birth and new life, watching as a new family is born unto each other. These things humble and amaze. These are the things that we celebrate when a baby is born.

But there is another aspect of pregnancy and birth. There is an unexpected place in this journey where some families may find themselves. When a baby dies, a world is turned upside down. There is confusion, sadness, fear, and uncertainty that cannot be explained. There is sorrow where there should have been joy. During this time, it might be impossible for families to know what they might need in order to heal in the future.

This is the place where the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation gently provides a helping hand and a healing heart. For families overcome by grief and pain, the idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. The soft, gentle heirloom photographs of these beautiful babies are an important part of the healing process. They allow families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives.

The Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation (NILMDTS) administers a network of more than 5,000 volunteer photographers in the United States and nineteen International countries. At a family's request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to your hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive and private portrait session. The portraits are then professionally retouched and presented to the families on an archival DVD or CD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished baby.

This is not from my own thoughts, I got this from freind and I thought that I would share this with everyone.

FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Always bring the food.

FRIENDS: Will say "hello".
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.

FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Call your parents' mom and dad.

FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Cry with you.

FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.

As I knelt before the LORD fear struck me violently, I dear not look into the eyes of my LORD my GOD. As He approached I knelt even lower, I could feel the ever-consuming fire of HIS GLORY, HIS GLORY was fierce and violent, consuming everything not pure and holy, it was unquenchable. He called my name, HE called me to come, I was filled with fear I could not move, HE walked towards me, with ever step HIS presents consumed me more and more, the fear became overwhelming, uncontrollable. He stood over me and again HE called my name, I dare not stand, for I am in the presents of the KING of the universe and HIS all-consuming GLORY. HE called my name again, yes PAPA I replied, HE said, I want you to stand, I can't PAPA for fear has overwhelmed me, so HE knelt before me, lifted my head and asked, MY son why are you filled with such fear, I replied, PAPA I have been unjust, I have done evil, I have hung you on a cross, HE asked, are you afraid of Death? No PAPA, I replied. Then what is it HE asked, I'm afraid of never seeing YOUR GLORY, never standing in YOUR presents, never knowing YOUR LOVE. Then with a smile my PAPA said, you are seeing MY GLORY, you are standing in MY presents, and you will know MY LOVE for you.

Welcome home MY son, MY prince.

Never have I hear those word before, tears have flowed like a raging river, the day will come when all those who have been abandon, will come into the present of that all consuming fire of GLORY, HE will wipe away those tears, HE will clean our hearts and we will stand next to HIM, sons and daughters never knowing what it feels like to be abandon by anyone.

Have courage, have faith, I will walk with you down this dark path and HE will walk with us.
